This is your channel average. The catch: that revenue isn't spread evenly. A handful of videos drive most of it, and the rest drive almost none. The calculator can't tell you which videos hit these numbers. That is exactly what RevData shows, per video.

How the YouTube revenue calculator works

For a creator who sells a course, membership, or signal service, a YouTube video makes money through a simple chain: views lead to link clicks, link clicks lead to a sales page, and a percentage of that traffic buys. This calculator estimates that revenue from four inputs, your monthly views, your description link click rate, your sales page conversion rate, and your product price, and turns it into a monthly revenue figure, an annual figure, and a Revenue Per View (RPV) number.

Revenue Per View is the metric that matters most for creators who sell something. Unlike view count, RPV tells you what a view is actually worth to your business. A video with 9,000 views can generate more revenue than a video with 90,000 views if its audience is closer to buying, and RPV is how you see that.

Why view count does not equal revenue

The number this calculator gives you is a channel average. In reality, revenue is concentrated, a small number of videos drive most of the sales, and the rest drive very little. The calculator cannot tell you which of your videos are the earners. That requires connecting each individual video to actual sales, which is what RevData does: it traces course and membership purchases back to the specific video that drove them, so you can see the real revenue and RPV for every video in your catalogue rather than a channel-wide estimate.
